Legends Decoded: Prologue

It was a humid day out when Draco took his position on the mountain, as he look down at a nearby field where hundreds of people were gathered. “Draco to base, Target spotted 394 meters away, am I clear to the shot?” Draco said speaking into a walkie-talkie.

“Roger that UN: DracoColdren51, You are clear to neutralize the target” explained the Base Operator. “Copy that” Draco responded, he prone on the mountain, releases the bipod, loads the sniper, and steadies his aim. You know what’s going to happen if you miss, Draco thought to himself while looking though the scope. Draco’s right hand tightened, “BANG!” A girl falls on stage.

“This is Draco to Base, Draco to Base the V.A.G.E commander has been neutralized” Draco said while wiping the sweat off his forehead. “Copy that UN: DracoColdren51, orders are now to inspect the body of the target to confirm the kill, call us back after you’ve done that, and air support will come to pick you up in 30 minutes” explained the Base Operator. “Copy that Operator” Draco responded. Draco headed down the mountain, then started swimming across a body of water that surround the field where the stage was located. Draco walked up the stairs to the stage to inspect the body. The V.A.G.E commander was an 18 year old girl, with wide green eyes and bright green hair, wearing a dress that was now blood stained. Draco stood up and looked down at the body of the girl, anger filled his eyes. Suddenly a scream of a girl filled the stage, the girl charging hastily towards Draco, with revolver in hand Draco pointed his gun without looking and “BANG!” shoots the girl clean though the head. Draco blew the smoke off of the barrel of the revolver then placed the gun in his holster and started to head to the pick-up zone.

The ride to base made 30 minutes feel like an hour to Draco, the landing could’ve been a bit smoother, Draco thought to himself while getting off the helicopter, the intercom of went off when J entered the base, “Can UN: DracoColdren51 please report to Briefing Barrack number 0100 for briefing” reminding Draco about him briefing a new platoon, Draco walked with hast to the room, reaching the door and entered. “Ah, afternoon Draco” the teacher greeting Draco into the room the almost immediately turning to the class to speak “Platoon 0100, this is Sargent Major UN: DracoColdren51, he will be briefing you some basic info on the enemy, the V.A.G.E”, then turns back around “Thank you” Draco replied. Draco stood in the front, all eyes focused on him, he waited for a couple of seconds, gathering thoughts together. Draco mouth opened “V.A.G.E, or known as the Video, Anime, Global, Enterprise, are the reason you all in this seats today, they are known for producing Anime television show and other digital media, but about three years ago we got calls from thousands of parents saying their children who watch broadcasts by V.A.G.E have start being obsessed about joining V.A.G.E and fighting for them, so we sent a covert team myself included to investigate one of the V.A.G.E complexes, and sure enough our team discovered that the V.A.G.E was building an army, so we reported back to base and we declared war against the V.A.G.E and we fight them to this very day”, I hope I said that correctly, Draco thought to himself while walking toward the door of the barrack then turned around to say “Thank you platoon 0100 for your time and service, God bless you all” then leaves.
